| ▪ Obtaining superabsorbent materials containing BC and other biopolymers (carboxymetylcellulose; poly(vinyl alcohol); chitosan) “in situ” by modifying the culture medium for BC fermentation. Physico-chemical characterization; acestora; |
| ▪ Experimental laboratory studies concerning mass transfer through the obtained composites. Development of mathematical models to describe the observed mass transport and the factors which influence the mass transfer through the BC composites ; |
| ▪ Laboratory technology development for superabsorbant materials; |

▪ Dissemination of the obtained results.

| ▪ Obtaining superabsorbent materials starting with wet bacterial cellulose and other bio polymeric materials; |
| ▪ Physico-chemical characterization of the obtained materials; |

▪ Dissemination of the obtained results.

| P2 – PLANTAVOREL |

▪ Obtaining and characterizing fito-extracts with antimicrobial, antifungal activity or which could be used as fertilizers, and impregnating the superabsorbent materials with them.
